Configuring SAML SSO for Ideagen Learning using Okta

Admins who need to enable SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) for Ideagen Learning using Okta.
Admin access to both Okta and Ideagen Learning accounts is required.
This article explains how to configure SAML SSO for Ideagen Learning using the Damstra Learn App in Okta. It includes steps for just-in-time provisioning and user assignment.
➕ Step 1: Add the Damstra Learn App in Okta
- Log in to your Okta admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Applications from the top menu.
- Click Add Application.
- Search for Ideagen Learning and select the Damstra Learn App.
- Enter a placeholder URL in the Single sign-on URL field to proceed.
👥 Step 2: Assign Okta users to Ideagen Learning
- Select the users to assign to the Damstra Learn App.
- Click Next.
- Optionally update usernames.
- Click Done to complete the assignment.
⚙️ Step 3: Configure SAML and SSO URL in Ideagen Learning
- Open the Sign On tab of the Damstra Learn App in Okta.
- Click View Setup Instructions.
- Follow the instructions to configure SAML in Ideagen Learning.
- Copy the Single sign-on URL from Okta and paste it into the Integration tab in Ideagen Learning.
📤 Step 4: Assign the Damstra Learn App and users in Okta
- Go to My Applications in Okta.
- Click the Damstra Learn App icon.
- Confirm that users can log in using SAML SSO.
🔐 Step 5: Log in to Ideagen Learning using Okta credentials
- Visit the Ideagen Learning login page.
- Use Okta credentials to log in via SAML SSO.

- Ensure that email addresses in Okta match those in Ideagen Learning for seamless provisioning.
- Test the SSO login with one user before rolling it out to everyone.
