Adding an annotation to video lessons
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to make their video lessons interactive.
Admin or Editor role is required.
This article explains how to add annotations to your video lesson to create interactive actions such as opening a URL, pausing, or playing the video.
1. Adding an annotation
To add an annotation:
- Open the editor.
- Click the Insert annotation icon.
Each click will add a new annotation layer to the slide.
- Resize the annotation as needed.
To do this, drag and expand the corner of the grey annotation box. - Go to the Properties panel.
- Choose an Annotation Action.
- If you selected Open link, go to Annotation.
- Select Link.
- Paste in the desired URL.
- Change the annotation colour under Annotation Colour.
Alternatively, you can make the annotation invisible by setting Annotation Opacity to zero (0). - If the annotation is hidden and set to Pause, add a text layer like: "Click anywhere on the slide to open the webpage or download the document."
