Publishing a lesson
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to make lessons available to trainees.
Admin or Editor role is required.
This article walks you through the steps to publish a lesson after editing, including how to verify its readiness and resolve common publishing errors.
1. Publishing a lesson
To publish a lesson:
- Go to the lesson view.
- Click Edit Draft.
- Click Preview to ensure the lesson appears as intended.
- Make sure all modules have finished converting.
You cannot publish until this is complete. - Click Publish.
You will be taken back to the lesson view.
If you see a "CONVERTING ERROR" message, check for empty modules or slides. If they're all complete, try publishing again.
2. Checking lesson status
There are two lesson statuses:
- Unpublished (grey) - The lesson has never been published.
- Published (green) - The lesson is live and available to trainees.
Each time a lesson is published, it receives a new version number (e.g., 1, 2, 3...).
