Formatting rich text snippets in IWS

Enhance your dashboard experience by adding rich text snippets. Use them to describe data in context, link to external resources like user guides, or include images. You can format snippets to match your dashboard’s visual style using text styles, colors, and layout options.
Steps:
Step 1: Create or edit a dashboard.
Step 2: Click the Add Snippet icon on the dashboard toolbar to insert a rich text snippet.
Step 3: Enter your text and format it using the available options:
Formatting options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Text Style | Choose from Body (default), Header 1 (largest), or Header 2 (medium). |
| Text Colour | Apply color using: Colour Picker, Colour Slider, Hex code, RGB values, or Presets. |
| Background Colour | Apply background color using the same five methods as text color. |
| Align | Align text left, center, right, or justify. |
| Bold / Italic / Underline | Apply font styling to selected text. |
| Bullet List / Numbered List | Create bulleted or numbered lists. |
| Add Link | Insert a hyperlink to an external URL. You can edit or remove links in edit mode. |
| Add Image | Insert an image using a URL. Optionally add alternative text for accessibility. |
| Clear Formatting | Remove all font and color formatting from selected text. |
Step 4: Use the Undo and Redo icons or keyboard shortcuts to reverse or reapply changes.
Step 5: If your environment uses custom attributes, incorporate them into your snippet as needed.
Step 6: Save your dashboard to retain the snippet.
