Enrolling Galaxy Watch 4, 5, and 6 in Samsung Knox

Requirements:

• Galaxy Watch 4, 5, or 6 (at least 4.0 Wear OS Version)
• Android 11 or later (Samsung Smartphone)
• Do e-sim provision before enrollment

Enrollment Preparation

Step 1 – Before you begin the enrollment process, download, and install two apps from Google Play:
Galaxy Wearable for Enterprise and Galaxy Wearable.

Note: Apps must be in the latest version.

Step 2 – After Galaxy Wearable for Enterprise is installed on the phone, sign in to Knox Manage to create a device group and generate a Wear OS enrollment token. This token will be used to provision enterprise smartwatches.

To generate the token:

1. Go to Group, then click Add.
2. On the Add Group page, create a new Device group.
3. Once your Device group is created, go to Device Enrollment in the left navigation menu, then select Wear OS Token and click Add.
4. Give the token a Name and Expiration Period, then select the device group to assign the token to.
5. Click Save to return to the main list.
6. Click the name of the token you just created to open the Token Details page, which contains your Wear OS enrollment QR code.

Enrollment Process

You can use the same phone to enrol multiple enterprise smartwatches in succession.

1. Open the Galaxy Wearable for Enterprise app.

2. If the app presents a dialogue, tap OK to proceed.

3. Tap Scan new QR code and scan the QR code with your phone’s camera. If the scan succeeds, QR code scanned successfully displays on the screen.

4. Once Galaxy Wearable for Enterprise registers the QR code, you can enrol your enterprise smartwatch devices one-at-a-time. Ensure that the Samsung Galaxy phone’s Bluetooth setting is turned on.

5. Launch the Galaxy Wearable app, then pair it with your Wear OS smartwatch.

6. On the Galaxy Wearable home screen, tap Continue, then confirm that the pairing number on the smartwatch matches the one on your phone.

7. Read and agree to the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy.

8. Tap Continue to set up the watch. This may take several minutes.

9. After setup completes, tap Open app. If you consent to the Google Terms of Service, tap I agree.

10. Tap Continue if you agree to the Samsung Knox Privacy Policy and acknowledge that the watch isn’t private because your enterprise manages the watch. The Knox Manage agent begins installing the smartwatch.

11. When finished, the app notifies you that You’re all set. The watch detaches from the phone and begins to operate as a standalone device.

12. If you have another watch that you want to enrol, tap Pair another watch to repeat the same process.

Confirm Wear OS enrollment

After enrolling the Wear OS device, it’s a good idea to verify that enrollment succeeded. Settings and Wi-Fi could be disabled after the enrollment depending on the profile. The best way to confirm enrollment in this case is to check the Knox Portal and make sure that the device is listed there as “Enrolled”.
