Creating achievements
Who is this article for?
Administrator who need to motivate trainees by rewarding progress through achievements.
Admin or Owner role is required.
This article explains how to enable gamification and create custom achievements linked to completed lessons or acquired skills.
1. Enabling gamification
To enable gamification:
- Go to Admin.
- Select Configuration.
- Switch to the Features tab.
- Tick Achievements.
Once enabled, a new Achievements option will appear under the Learn and Manage menus.
2. Creating achievements
To create an achievement:
- Go to Manage.
- Select Achievements.
- Click Add....
- Fill out the details:
- Name – e.g., Sales 101
- Description – e.g., For completing sales induction lessons
- Icon – Choose from available icons
- Icon Colour – Enter a hex code (e.g.,
#FF5733) - Base – Select a base shape
- Base Colour – Enter a hex code
- Select who can access it under Available to.
By default, all trainees can access it.
3. Adding requirements
Next, specify what trainees must complete to earn the achievement.
To add requirements:
- Click Add in the Requirements section.
- Choose the Type.
- Select the relevant skill or active lesson.
Only active lessons can be selected. If no skills are available, refer to the article on creating skills for users.
- Click Save.
Once saved, the achievement becomes visible and attainable by trainees.
