Adding an image layer to a lesson
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to add image layers to lessons.
Admin or Editor role is required.
This article walks you through the steps to insert and customise image layers in the Ideagen Learning Editor, including transitions, timing, and layer order.
1. Adding an image
To add an image layer:
- Click the Image icon in the toolbar.
- Select an image file from your device.
Supported formats are .jpeg and .png. - Choose your image (e.g., Image 1) and wait for it to load onto the canvas.
- Use the handles to resize or rotate the image as needed.
2. Adjusting timing
To change when the image appears and how long it stays visible:
- Go to the Properties panel.
- Set the Start time.
- Set the Duration.
- Alternatively, drag the image layer directly to the Timeline panel at the bottom.
3. Changing layer depth
To change layer depth, use the Order buttons in the toolbar.
You can also drag the image layer up or down in the timeline to adjust its depth.
