Adding an assessment in Ideagen Learning

Amins and Editors who need to evaluate trainee performance through quizzes or tests.Admin or Editor role required.
This guide explains how to add a Quiz or Test assessment to a lesson in Ideagen Learning, including question setup and configuration options.
🔑 Steps
- Step 1: Log in with administrator permissions
Ensure you have administrator access before proceeding. -
Step 2: Go to the lesson management section and select a lesson
Navigate to Manage > Lessons > Click the lesson you want to add assessments to. -
Step 3: Open the lesson draft
Click Create Draft or Edit Draft. - Step 4: Open the assessment editor
On the Edit Lesson screen, click the Assessment tab and click Settings.
- Step 5: Choose the assessment type
On the Settings tab, you can select either a Quiz or a Test.
You can also set a pass rate for a Test if needed.

Step 6: Add questions to modules
Click the New Question button in each module.
Choose the question type: Multiple Choice or Free Text.
(In this example, multiple choice question type was selected.) -
Step 7: Enter question details
Type your question text. -
Step 8: Add and configure answersYou can choose between two Question types: single correct answer and multiple correct answers.
Enter possible answers and mark the correct ones using the Incorrect/Correct toggle.
You can reorder answers by dragging them using the handle. - Step 9: Save the question
Click Save to store your question.
- Step 11: Access advanced options
After saving, click Show Advanced Options to configure features like help type.

You can reorder questions or move them between modules using the drag handle.
