Understanding site location configuration options in TIKS VMS
This article outlines the available configuration actions for managing site locations in the TIKS Visitor Management System (VMS). Access to these options depends on the current user's access level.
Details
What it is:
Site location configuration options allow authorized users to manage and customize individual site settings within TIKS VMS.
Why it matters:
These options provide flexibility in tailoring site-specific features such as inductions, out-of-hours messaging, and QR code visibility, helping ensure smooth visitor management operations.
Key points:
- Inductions: View and edit induction slides for the selected site. Tabs for Visitor, Staff, and Contractor allow uploading different content for each user type, which is shown during sign-in.
- Out of Hours: Schedule a message to appear on the tablet/kiosk during unmanned hours using the calendar icon.
- Switch: Switch to the selected site (based on permission level). Once switched, the site name appears in the Current Site section and in the top bar.
- Edit: Manage site settings by selecting the edit icon. This opens the Edit Site Location options.
- Archive: Remove and archive the site and its settings using the folder icon.
- Delete: Permanently delete the site location using the delete icon.
