Corrective Actions are being managed
📌 Introduction
The Performance Indicators group of Dashboards provide a graphical snapshot and analysis of the number and nature of injuries, illnesses, incidents, and near misses occurring across your organisation, using data from the Events Register.
In this guide, we’ll cover how to access, understand, and get the most out of all components of the Performance Indicators Dashboards in Ideagen Safety.
🖥️ Accessing the Performance Indicators Dashboard
The Performance Indicators Dashboards are accessed via Dashboard in the Menu bar. Expand the item to reveal all Dashboards in the group.
The Performance Indicators Dashboard itself provides a count of events that have taken place over a particular month, compared with both the current and previous financial year, calendar year, or rolling 12-months.
🎯 Data Selections
Select the Month you’d like to analyse.
If KPI Targets are assigned at Regional or Site level, select which to use from the Use target for picklist, otherwise leave it set at the global level.
Select the Person Types to include.
Choose whether to compare against the current and previous Financial Year, Calendar Year, or rolling 12-month window.
To filter by Site, use the Site Selection button to select one or more sites (based on your profile access).
⏱️ Total Hours Worked
The total hours worked by the chosen Person Types for the selected month and Sites will be displayed toward the top of the screen.
Note: Ensure your organisation’s KPI Hours are correctly recorded to ensure accuracy.
🔺 Triangular Graphs
These graphs show statistics for:
Injuries and Illnesses
Incidents and Near Misses
All Incidents by Person Type
Each graph’s three triangles represent:
Current month
Current year
Previous year
The bottom rows in each triangle show total events per category, broken down along the vertical axes. The top line is not included in totals.
Click the full-screen icon to enlarge a graph; click again to return.
🩹 Work Related Injury Body Parts
Displays the number of injuries to specific body parts for the current year (from Injuries and Illnesses data).
🩺 Injuries/Illness Analysis & Incident/Near Miss Analysis
Both dashboards provide a deep-dive on events matching these types. Each has four tabs:
📊 Indicators Tab (Injuries/Illness Analysis)
Shows number of events by month and by category.
Displays LTIFR, TRIFR, and AIFR against target rates in Settings.
📊 Indicators Tab (Incident/Near Miss Analysis)
Shows count of events by Type and Category.
Displays TIFR and IFR against target rates.
📈 Trends Tab (Injuries/Illness Analysis)
Includes counts for events requiring First Aid, Medical Treatment, Lost Time, and more.
📈 Trends Tab (Incident/Near Miss Analysis)
Displays count/frequency for non-notifiable and notifiable events.
⚖️ Severity Tab
Shows count/frequency of events by severity rating (e.g., “Insignificant” to “Catastrophic”) over a rolling 12-month period.
📑 Data Tab
Displays further statistics from the Events Register.
Use Search, Sort, and Browse tools, and hover over question marks for calculation details.
🛠️ Corrective Actions Tab
Graphical overview of corrective actions from Risk Assessments and Events, with two tabs:
Number of corrective actions by status (Assigned, Outstanding, Completed) per month
Time to completion in days
📉 Lead & Lag Dashboards
Lead = proactive safety actions
Lag = reactive after incidents occur
Tables can be searched, sorted, and exported via Generate XLS Report. Hover over question marks for more info.
🧮 Calculations
Injury/Illness Analysis – Indicators Tab (Frequency Rates):
AIFR = total injuries/illnesses × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
LTIFR = LTIs × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
Injury/Illness Analysis – Trends Tab:
FTI = First Aid injuries count
FTIF = FTI × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
MTI = Medical treatment injuries count
MTIF = MTI × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
LTI = Lost Time injuries count
NLTI = All injuries excluding fatalities and LTIs
NLTIF = NLTI × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
TRI = Fatalities + LTIs + Restricted Duties + MTIs
TRIF = TRI × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
FFR = Fatalities × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
Average Lost Time Rate = Days lost (monthly) for LTIs
Incident/Near Miss Analysis – Indicators Tab (Frequency Rates):
TIFR = Incidents + Near Misses × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
IFR = Incidents (excluding Near Misses) × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
Incident/Near Miss Analysis – Trends Tab:
Non Serious Harm Incidents = Count not rated “Serious Harm”
Serious Harm Incidents = Count rated “Serious Harm”
Incident/Near Miss Analysis – Severity Tab:
Level 1, 2, 3 incident counts and rates calculated as count × KPI factor ÷ hours worked
