Release overview

Until now, the ability for Contractor Workers to be Supervisors for other Contractor Workers was controlled by an internal switch in Safety that was not exposed to the users and had to be updated by the Support team. At the same time, Contractor Workers could never be supervisors for Workers due to the requirement in place at the time of developing the Workers module.

We have enhanced Safety to remove both these limitations that and allow Safety users be in control of supervision settings.

Settings to enable supervision by Contractor Workers

In Settings > General > Options and Preferences, we have added two options that can be explicitly set to enable or disable using Contractor Workers as Supervisors to Workers and Contractor Workers.

"Supervisor" Key Appointment for Contractor Workers

In addition to selecting the option in Settings, each Contractor Worker also needs an individual "Supervisor" Key Appointment to be set, so that this Contractor Worker could be available for selection as a Supervisor for other people. This Key Appointment is now available in the Details tab of each Contractor Worker's record, in the same way it is available for Workers.
