Understanding Quick Search in EPP
Who is this article for?
Users who need to quickly locate employee, company, or visitor records within the workplace management platform.
Quick Search is a powerful tool that allows you to instantly locate employees, companies, or visitors without navigating through multiple menus, saving valuable time when managing large worksites.
1. Accessing Quick Search
Quick Search is located on the right side of the screen and is always accessible regardless of which page you are viewing.
Note: Quick Search results are filtered based on the selected worksite(s). Ensure you have the correct worksite selected to view accurate information.
2. Searching for employees
To find an employee record:
- Enter the employee's name or Damstra ID into the Quick Search field.
- The system will display matching results based on your input.
- Select the appropriate employee from the results list to view their full record.
You can enter partial names or IDs, and the system will return the closest matches based on your input.
3. Searching for visitors
To find a visitor record:
- Enter the visitor's name into the Quick Search field.
- Review the matching results displayed by the system.
- Select the appropriate visitor from the results list to access their information.
4. Searching for companies
To find a company record:
- Enter the company name into the Quick Search field.
- The system will display matching company results.
- Select the appropriate company from the results list to view company details.
5. Understanding search limitations
Quick Search has the following limitations to ensure you see relevant, accurate results:
- Results only include records from the currently selected worksite(s)
- Only active records are displayed in search results
- Archived or inactive records are not included in Quick Search results
- You cannot search across all worksites simultaneously
Tip: If you cannot find the record you are looking for, verify that you have selected the correct worksite before searching again.
