Logging In: Using A Thermal Camera
Introduction
This procedure will take you through the steps required to log in to a Damstra Terminal with a Damstra Thermal Camera attached.
Note: this process is only for temperature detection and won’t be applicable for facial recognition terminals.
Equipment used
As part of this process, two main pieces of equipment are involved: the DT-MK2(P) and the Damstra Temperature camera. Below is an image of how these two components appear together:
Login Process
Below are the steps you will undertake to log in to a Damstra DT-MK2(P) with a Temperature camera attached.
- To begin the login process, approach the terminal and swipe your card/Fob or enter your TWMS ID:
- You will be prompted on the screen of the terminal to look at the temperature camera:
- The temperature camera will display your temperature on the screen. If you are within the acceptable range, you will be provided with the screen below:
- You will then be asked to complete a BAC test:
- Once this is complete, you will receive the screen below and can continue on to the site:
- If you are not within the acceptable temperature range, the screen of the temperature camera will turn red, an alert will be sent to the nominated site staff and you will receive the screens below:
Logout Process
Below are the steps you will undertake to log out of a Damstra DT-MK2(P) with a Temperature camera attached.
- To begin the logout process, approach the terminal and swipe your card/Fob or enter your TWMS ID:
- You will be prompted on the screen of the terminal to look at the temperature camera:

Once the temperature is recorded, you will receive the screen below and can proceed to leave the site:
