Release summary
We have enhanced the coverage of the existing audit logs available in Observations and Events by capturing changes in attached files, URLs and corrective actions.
Audit Log enhancements
We have released the first stage of enhancements to the existing Audit Logs for Observations and Events by making them clearer and logging changes in comments, files, photos and URLs attached both on the main record level (Observation or Event) and on the level of Corrective Actions attached to these main records.
Capturing changes in attached comments, files and URLs
When there is a new file or URL has been attached to an Observation, or a previously attached item has been deleted, you will see a record of the “Photo/File/URL” type that will capture the change.
When a new file or URL has been attached (or deleted) from a Corrective Action associated with an Observation or Event, you will see a record of the “Corrective Action” type that will capture the change. This helps differentiate between the items added or deleted on the main level from the changes made on the Corrective Action level.
Specifying where the change was made
There is also a new field in the Audit Log called “Modified In”. This field will be especially helpful if your Safety is integrated with Forms or another system that can send Observations and Events data to Safety.
If the change to the data was made by a user logged in directly to Safety, the “Modified In” field will state that. If the change came from Forms or another system via system integration channels, you will see this in the “Modified In” field.
What’s next
We are working on the second stage of enhancements to the existing Audit Logs for Observations and Events, which will include clearer logging of main Event fields as well as better log coverage for the data that comes to Safety from its Web Portals and the Notify mobile app.
