Links from Safety to synchronised forms in Forms (additional types)
In the previous release 10.0.18 of 23 May 2023 we added an ability for Safety to show a link to the original form for Compliance records, Observations or Events originated from Forms.
In this release the same ability was added to Risk Assessments and Transport Inspections originated from Forms. This will not only indicate the origin of the data but will also allow the Safety user to go to the source directly, if they have a valid Forms account with an appropriate level of access.
In a similar way, for Risk Controls and Transport Inspection Corrective Actions, Safety will show links to the Actions register in Forms where Forms users can access these actions. This will happen regardless of whether a control or action originated in Safety or in Forms because actions are fully synchronised between the two systems.
Mileage and Hours readings for Transport
Up until now the required metric to record the usage of a transport item was mileage (Odometer Reading). We have been advised by a number of our clients that it is common to use hours rather than mileage to track usage, and so we have made the following changes to the Transport register:
- In the Edit Transport and View Transport screens, we have renamed the Mileage tab to Usage.
- We have accordingly renamed the Add Mileage and Edit Mileage screens to Add Usage and Edit Usage and simplified the layout of these screens to allow for alternative use of Odometer or Hours Readings, as required. The Odometer Reading is not a mandatory field anymore.
- We have also removed the default double decimal zeros at the end of the entered readings as we were advised these were not needed.
