Security settings in Ideagen Safety
Ideagen Safety offers several ways to keep your system secure, including:
Multiple methods for changing a user’s password
Automatically locking a user out after multiple failed login attempts
The system also keeps a detailed log of all password changes, resets, and failed login attempts, which can be exported as an .xls file.

Log into your Ideagen Safety system.
Click the Settings icon.
Select Settings from the menu.

In the General section, select Security.
🔑 Allow Admins to Change Users’ Passwords
To let Admins change a user’s password, simply tick the checkbox labeled “Allow Admins to change users’ passwords.
ℹ️ Note: Users can still reset their own passwords from the login page—provided they have a valid email address recorded in their user account.
🚫 Lockout After Multiple Failed Login Attempts
To lock out users after 4 failed password attempts within a 1-hour period, simply tick the checkbox labeled “Enable lockout after multiple failed login attempts.”
📋 View and Export the Security Log
To view the security log, click on the Security Log tab.
🔍 Searching the Security Log
Use the Search Field to find matching data anywhere in the log — it searches all columns except the ‘Date’ column.
ℹ️ Note: You can also sort the log by clicking on the headers of any column in the register.
💾 Exporting the Security Log
To export the log as an .xls file, simply click Export. The file will then download to your PC.
