Enhancements to the Substances (Chemicals) register
Following received feedback, we have made some enhancements to the Substances register (Chemicals register, if you are using US English for your Safety system).
- The "Primary" flag has been removed from the GHS Hazardous Chemicals Classification register because it is irrelevant to this classification.
- A "Description" section has been partially moved to the top of the Edit Substance screen, and it shows identifying information for the substance - formal and common names, flags for Hazardous substances and Dangerous Goods.
- The classification information displayed in the Substances register has become more concise. In the DG Classification column, it now shows the Primary Dangerous Goods class (if applicable), or the class entered first. In the GHS Classification column, it shows the Hazardous class entered first. The same change has been made to the standard reports related to Substances (accessible via Governance > Reports menu).
- The names of classes in the Dangerous Goods Classification have been corrected to align with industry standards:
- Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road & Rail [Edition 7.7, 2020]
- New Zealand Land Transport Rule [Rule 45001] Dangerous Goods 2005
- USA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49 Transportation, Subtitle B Chapter I Subchapter C Part 173 Subpart A § 173.2 Hazardous material classes and index to hazard class definitions
[Trial] LATE flag and filter in the Events register
In our previous release we included a trial of the LATE flag and filter in the Events register. This flag marks Events with a standard investigation or a corrective action that is not yet completed but with a Due Date in the past.
The flag is not displayed for completed Events.
You can hover your mouse over that flag, and the system will show you the exact reason why the event was flagged as late.
During the trial, we have established that the flag does not always recognise that the event investigation or a corrective action has been completed and may still flag an Event as Late. We are fixing this and making some other minor changes to this flag and filter and will release these when the development is complete in the coming weeks. We apologise for the inconvenience in the meantime.
