Accessing the filter snippet sidebar
To open the filter snippet sidebar:
- Select the Settings icon from the dashboard menu.
- The sidebar opens, showing default settings for new snippets or current settings for existing ones.
- If a filter references unavailable sources or fields, an Unavailable message appears. Select a new source or field to resolve.
1. Data Settings tab
Use this tab to define the data source and filtering logic.

| Data Type | Choose from Attribute, Time, or Number. Time allows conditions like Between or Not Between. |
| Operator | Select Include or Exclude. For Time, choose Between or Not Between and define conditions in the widget. |
| Source | Select the data source to use. |
| Field | Choose a field from the selected source. |
Click Apply to save changes to the filter snippet.
2. Filter Snippet Settings tab
Configure how users interact with the filter.

| "No Selection" Label | Text shown when no value is selected (Single only). Default: None. |

| Filter Values On | Choose Change to apply filters instantly, or Submit to apply on button click. |
| Submit Button Text | Customize the button label. Default: Submit. |
Save the dashboard to retain changes.
3. Widget Settings tab
Adjust how the filter snippet appears in the dashboard.

- Show: Always visible
- Show on Hover: Visible only on hover in Viewer mode

Click Apply to update the widget. Save the dashboard to retain changes.
