Who is this article for?
All users who need to understand how the Ideagen Workforce Safety mobile app is structured and how to navigate between its two modes.
The Ideagen Workforce Safety app operates in two modes depending on your role and what you need to do. Understanding the difference between these two modes is key to getting around the app.
1. Two modes of the app
| Employee mode | Your personal profile view. Manage your own compliance, learning, tasks, time cards, and qualifications. Available to all users. Navigation bar shows: Home · Learning · Task · Time Cards · Profile. |
| Manage Worksite mode | The worksite management view. Check workers in and out, view who is onsite, search employee profiles, and manage health and safety sessions. Available to users with worksite management access. Navigation bar shows: Home · Access · HS. |
2. Employee mode
When you first log in, the app opens in Employee mode showing your personal home screen. The bottom navigation bar gives you access to five sections:
| Home | Your QR code, Check-in button, outstanding tasks, and a summary of learning and upcoming sessions. |
| Learning | All eLearning lessons assigned to you, with due dates and direct access to complete them in the app. |
| Task | Mobilisation requirements that have been forwarded to you to complete. |
| Time Cards | Your recent site log-in and log-out records, filterable by worksite and date range. |
| Profile | Your full compliance profile — mobilisations, skill records, qualifications, worksite access, job titles, and crews. |
3. Manage Worksite mode
If you have worksite management access, you can switch to Manage Worksite mode to oversee your workforce in the field.
The Manage Worksite home screen provides three key functions:
| Check-in/out workers | Manually check workers in or out by scanning their QR code or selecting a terminal. |
| Onsite Now | View a real-time list of workers currently on site. |
| Health & Safety | Manage health and safety calendar sessions, add attendees, and mark attendance. |

4. Settings
The Settings icon (gear icon) appears in the top right of the home screen in both modes. From here you can:
- Switch between Employee mode and Manage Worksite mode
- Enable or disable Biometric Authentication
- Access Terms & conditions and Privacy policy
- Toggle Send app analytics
- Logout
