Company prequalification is a compliance checkpoint that vets contractor companies before they can be engaged on worksites by collecting and verifying critical documents, certifications, and safety information to ensure each contractor meets all client and regulatory requirements.
1. Prequalification process
Contractor company prequalification is a key component of Supply Chain Risk Management. It enables a worksite to assess and manage the risk associated with engaging contracting companies, based on organisational requirements.
The prequalification process begins when an organisation invites a contracting company to participate. The contracting company is required to submit specified requirements, which is then reviewed and verified by the organisation for compliance.
Once all requirements have been verified as compliant, the contracting company is approved and permitted to onboard workers to the worksite.
This process allows the organisation to effectively monitor contractor compliance and manage risk. Contracting companies that do not maintain compliance can have their ability to onboard workers restricted.
Contractor company prequalification can be completed at:
- Organisation level – once approved, a contracting company may onboard workers at any worksite within the organisation; or
- Worksite level – the contracting company must be approved for a specific worksite before onboarding workers to that location.
Note
Company prequalification only applies to companies that have not previously completed the process with Ideagen Workforce Safety.
2. Company Prequalification Queue
The Company Prequalification Queue page allows worksites to invite registered companies to complete their prequalification requirements. It also displays the status of prequalification submissions that have been started or submitted by companies, enabling the worksite to review and verify each item as part of the approval process.
Previously approved or declined prequalification requests can also be reviewed for reference and auditing purposes.
To access the queue screen:
- Go to Company Management.
- Click Company Prequalification Queue.
Once there, you can select the appropriate Worksite filter:
- Organisation for if prequalification is approved at the organisation level.
- Worksite for if Prequalification is approved at a worksite level.
If you don't see the option, make sure you have the View company prequalifications permissions.
