Configuring a prequalification type
Who is this article for?
Worksite users responsible for managing prequalifications.
System Settings access is required.
This article explains how to configure a new prequalification type, including setting up required documents and questions that companies must provide.
1. Settings
To configure additional settings:
- Open the prequalification type.
- Go to Settings.

Make changes as needed.
2. Required documents
Requied documents are supporting attachments companies must provide when completing a prequalification.
To add required documents:
- Open a prequalification type.
- Go to Required documents.
- Click Add document.
- Enter the Document name.
- Enter an optional Document description.
- Set the Default expiration.
- Add the Expires after value (in months) if needed.
- Click Add document.
3. Questionnaires
To add questions that companies must answer:
- Open a prequalification type.
- Go to Questionnaires.
- Click Add question.
- Select a Question Type.
| Yes/no | A question where the respondent can only choose between "Yes" or "No" |
| Text | A question that allows the respondent to type a free-form answer in their own words |
| Prefilled text | A text field that already contains suggested or default information which the respondent can edit if needed |
| Single select from list | A question where the respondent must choose only one answer from a list of options |
| Multi select from list | A question where the respondent can choose more than one option from a list |
| Document upload | A task where the respondent must attach or upload a file |
| Instructional text | A non-interactive text used to guide or inform the respondent; no input is required |
- Enter the Question.
- Select a Category.
- Add an optional Tooltip text.
- Configure Additional settings.
- Configure Rules.
- Click Add question.
3.1. Question actions
Each question includes additional actions that allow you to:
- Edit the question content.
- Add sub-questions linked to the main question.
- Set up answer alerts to trigger alerts based on responses.
- Configure an answer to display so the question appears only when a specific answer is selected.
- Delete the question.
4. Applied companies
To review companies that have been invited, in progress, rejected, or accepted, go to the Applied to companies tab.
5. Change history
To view records of changes made to the selected prequalification type, go to the Change history tab.
