Changes to the signing in experience
Who is this article for?
Users looking to sign into the system.
No special access or permissions are required.
We’re making it simpler to sign in to Ideagen Workforce Safety. In a few weeks, instead of needing to know which login method to use, you’ll just enter your email address and we’ll take care of the rest.
This article answers a few of the commonly asked questions about the change.
What’s changing?
The login screen now starts with entering your email, regardless of the sign-in method.
When you click Continue, the system will then direct you to the correct sign-in method automatically, with no need to choose or visit another URL.
What happens after I enter my email?
What you see next depends on how your account is set up. You don’t need to do anything differently - it’s automatic.
Single Sign-On (SSO) users
You’ll be redirected straight to your company’s login page (Microsoft, Okta, or similar). Sign in there as normal. You won’t see an Ideagen password screen.
Username and password users
After entering your email and clicking Continue, you’ll see the password screen. Enter your password as usual.
Ideagen Hub administrators
You’ll be sent to Ideagen Hub to sign in. Hub will handle the rest, whether that’s a password screen or your company’s SSO.
What is the "Choose how to sign in" screen?
In some cases you may see a screen that offers you a choice of sign-in options.
This can happen if:
- Your email address isn’t recognised in our system yet
- Your account has more than one sign-in method available
- You’re a contractor whose email domain matches your client’s company
If you see this screen, select the method you normally use. If you’re unsure, choose Sign in with username and password as your fallback.
Note
If you see a “Sign in another way” link on an error screen, click it to return to the choice screen with your email address already filled in.
What’s not changing?
There are a few elements that are not changing, including your:
- username and password
- data, settings and history
- company credentials (if you use SSO)
- existing bookmarks
