How to register to work for Holcim Logistics /Transport: A guide to Company, Vehicle & Driver prequalification
Who is this article for?
Company admins at contractor companies (or sole traders) who need to register their company, workers and vehicles to work for Holcim Logistics / Transport using Ideagen Workforce Safety.
Holcim uses Ideagen Workforce Safety to keep records of every contractor and worker who comes on site. Before your people and vehicles can work for Holcim Logistics / Transport, three things need to happen:
- Register and prequalify your company (or sole trader).
- Register your workforce (employees).
- Register your vehicles ('assets').
This article walks you through each step.
What you get
Your company receives its own online portal, open 24/7. In it you can see which sites your workers are on, keep tickets, licences and training records in one place, update your company details and documents, and get a warning before anything expires.
Have you used Ideagen Workforce Safety before?
Yes — my company has used it before.
Your company is already set up. You'll need to be invited to prequalify by your Holcim representative, so let them know you're ready to go.
Not sure, or lost your login?
Call 1300 722 801 or log a support ticket via the support portal. Have your company name and ABN handy.
Company is registered, but you can't log in?
Ask one of your company's existing admins to set you up (System Settings > User login accounts), or ask them to log a ticket with your details.
Are you a branch of a bigger company?
Your branch can sit under the parent company. Call us if you're not sure.
Before you start
Have the following ready before you begin.
For company registration:
- Your ABN
- Your registered / trading name
- Your contact details
For company prequalification:
- Insurances
- Contracts
- Public liability
- Incident reports
For each worker:
- Their personal details and email address
- A colour, passport-style photo (JPEG, TIFF or GIF) — head and shoulders, square on, face straight ahead, eyes clearly visible, with no sunglasses, hat or anything covering the head
- Photo ID — the front of a current driver's licence (card or digital), passport, photo card, or proof of age card
- Any work tickets or licences needed for the job they'll be doing
For each vehicle:
- Vehicle details
- Registration papers
- Any inspection or compliance certificates
Step 1: Register and prequalify your company
Only needed if your company has never registered with Ideagen. Already registered? Tell your Holcim representative you're ready to receive a prequalification invitation.
- Go to www.damstratechnology.com.
- Click Login & Register.
- Choose Ideagen Workforce Safety, then Register your company.
- Fill in the form. When it asks for the 'worksite', search for Holcim Logistics / Transport.
Ideagen will process your registration and email you a username and password for your Company Portal within 24 hours. If it's taking longer, call 1300 722 801 or contact support via the support portal.
- Log in to the portal at au.damstraglobal.com with that username and password. (Forgotten them? Click 'Forgotten username/password' and enter the email address on the account.)
- Once your company is registered, Holcim Logistics / Transport can invite you to prequalify your company.
Step 2: Add your workers
System terminology: 'Worksite' = Business unit. 'Mobilisation' = State (only one is required — your 'base' state). 'Job title / role' = truck type(s).
- Log in at the Contractor Portal: au.damstraglobal.com.
- Click Workforce Management > Mobilise an Employee.
- Select the worksite (business unit) — for example, Concrete Transport — and the mobilisation type (state), for example NSW.
- Click Next.
- Select the job title(s) / role(s) that match the truck(s) the worker will be operating. The roles you pick decide which licences and documents you'll need to upload.
- Complete the employee questionnaire.
You'll then see what still needs to be filled in — the icons show what's done. You can complete the sections in any order, and you can email some tasks to the worker so they can fill them in themselves.
Step 3: Complete the required training
Before a worker can work for Holcim, they need to finish 6–9 online courses, including Holcim's General Induction.
- Training links are emailed directly to the worker (usually within an hour of the registration being submitted — ask them to check spam).
- Training doesn't need to be finished before you complete the worker's registration, but it does need to be finished before they can work on site.
- Links expire after 14 days, and all training must be completed.
- Workers can also access their courses by logging into the Employee Portal at au.damstraglobal.com.
Once every section on the left of the registration shows as complete, click Send for verification.
What happens next
A Holcim representative will review your uploaded documents and approve or decline them. If something is declined, you'll get an email explaining why. Click the link in that email, or log in and go to Active Mobilisation Requests > Attention Required, then upload the corrected document.
Step 4: Register your vehicle(s)
- Log in at the Contractor Portal: au.damstraglobal.com.
- Click Asset Management > Launch plant & equipment.
- For client selection, choose Holcim Logistics / Transport.
- Under Additional options, click Add new plant.
- Add your vehicle's details. These are then sent to your Holcim representative for review and approval.
Moving a worker over from another company
If a new worker of yours is already in the system under another company, and they've finished up there, you can move them across to your company instead of registering them from scratch.
- Log in to your Company Portal.
- Go to Mobilise an Employee and select 'A new employee for your company', then choose the worksite and type.
- Enter the worker's name, date of birth and email address.
- The system checks whether they're already registered elsewhere. If they are, you'll see a message telling you so.
- Click Request Permission. The worker receives a message asking them to confirm they now work for you.
- Once they confirm, go to Send for Verification and submit it.
Keeping worker details up to date
In the portal, go to Workforce Management > Employee Expiries, or click All expiries on the Home screen. From there you can filter by site and see what's coming up. We also email you a list of upcoming expiries every month.
Important: if something expires before you update it, site access may be affected.
