Administrators who need to add audio files to lessons.

Admin or Editor role is required.

This article walks you through the steps to insert audio files into a lesson using Ideagen Learning Editor, and how audio affects the timeline layout.

1. Adding audio

To add an audio file:

1. Click the Audio icon in the toolbar.

2. Select an .mp3 file from your device.
3. Open it and wait for it to load onto the canvas.

2. Adjusting timing

Once the audio file is added, its timeline will appear below the canvas. It automatically adjusts to accommodate the longest layer in the slide.

Example
If you add an image or text layer that is only 2 seconds long, and you add an audio file that is 100 seconds long, the horizontal timeline will visually represent 100 seconds and the image/text layer will appear much shorter in comparison.
