Managing a lesson
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to update or remove lessons from the training platform.
Admin or Editor role is required.
This article provides instructions for publishing new lesson versions, migrating trainees, and deleting outdated lessons.
1. Publishing a new version
To publish a new lesson version:
- Open the lesson you want to update.
- Make your edits.
- Click Publish.
A new version is created, and the previous version is archived.
Once published:
- Scheduled trainees are moved to the latest version within 15 minutes (may take longer for large schedules).
- Trainees actively watching the previous version have 1 hour to complete it.
- Trainees inactive for over an hour are migrated to the latest version and notified via email.
2. Viewing a previous version
To view older versions, click View Previous Versions.
3. Unpublishing a lesson
To unpublish a lesson:
- Navigate to Admin.
- Go to the Lessons view.
- Click the Ellipsis next to the lesson.
- Select Unpublish.
This will unpublish the lesson and make it unavailable for completion.
4. Deleting a lesson
To delete a lesson:
- Unpublish the lesson.
- Click the Ellipsis next to the lesson.
- Select Delete.
This will remove the lesson from your system.
Deleted lessons cannot be reinstated, so please make sure you no longer need it for your records before proceeding.
