Creating a lesson using a document module
Who is this article for?
Administrators who need to build static lessons using document-based modules.
Admin or Editor role is required.
Document modules allow trainees to view static content in a page-by-page format. You can upload PDFs, Word documents, or PowerPoint files and optionally add assessments.
This article explains how to create a lesson using document modules.
1. Creating a lesson
To create a lesson:
- Click Add Module.
- Enter a Name.
- Add an optional Description.
- Click Continue.
- Click Upload a Document.
- Select or drag-and-drop your file.
Supported formats include PDF, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
You can repeat this process to add more content as needed.
2. Editing module properties
To edit settings:
- Click the Edit icon.
- Make necessary changes.
- Click Save.
To download the uploaded document, click Download Module.
To swap the document while keeping settings, click Replace Module.
To delete the module from the lesson, click Remove Module.
3. Publishing the module
To publish the module:
- Click Preview to review the full module.
- Make sure all content is there.
- Click Publish to make it live.
After publishing, you can:
- Schedule it manually or automatically.
- Add it to the library.
