Getting started with Ideagen Workforce Safety as an Opal HealthCare contractor

This article is designed to help you understand and effectively use the Ideagen Workforce Safety platform to manage company and worker compliance with confidence and efficiency.
Overview
Ideagen Workforce Safety for Companies is used by companies to manage their employees.
The functions available to users are:
- Company preregistrations for Opal HealthCare
- Mobilising (onboarding) an Employee to a Care Community
- Managing employee profiles, documents, and expiries
- Managing company documents and expiries
- Managing correspondence
Opal HealthCare structure
When onboarding an employee into a Care Community, select the worksite “Opal HealthCare” and choose the relevant Mobilisation (induction type) for the employee.
The Mobilisation types are:
- Health care
- Trade/Services/Vendor
As you progress through the mobilisation process, you can forward required items directly to the worker by using the Forward button.
Under Job Titles, Roles and Tasks, select the job title that best aligns with the work the employee will be performing for Opal HealthCare.
Within Employee Requirements, ensure you complete the Employee Questionnaire and specify the Care Communities where the employee will be providing services.

The end‑to‑end workflow outlines the steps a company follows to manage workforce compliance, from company registration to expiry management:
- Register with Ideagen - one time action only.
Company prequalification - one time only action (existing prequalifications remain valid until expiry of documentation). - Mobilise and onboard your employee to Opal HealthCare
- Employee profile and expiry management - reglarly monitor employee profiles and expiries to maintain continuous compliance and avoid site access disruptions.
